A steady flow of ideas and feature requests are coming to us from customers, carriers and other partners putting Junxion solutions to use in real-world applications. As a result, the Junxion Box cellular router and Field Commander remote management are evolving rapidly.
Minor updates are published as needed to support new data cards and provide stability improvements to the firmware.
We've posted this page to help you stay informed about major
releases and minor updates to the Junxion firmware.
Should I Update?
new Second Generation Platform
On November 26, 2007, Junxion launched our new product, the JB-120, running on firmware platform v2.0. If you are using this product, our most recent major release is version 2.0.
First Generation Platform
Our most recent major release for the first generation platform was version 1.6. If you're not running version 1.6.04 on your Junxion Box, we encourage you to update your Junxion Box(es) now.

Remotely Update Firmware
- Junxion's Field Commander remote management can be used to
update the Junxion firmware of single units or fleets of
thousands
- new Junxion first generation devices can be updated via Field Commander with any new v1 releases. The second generation platform can be updated via Field Commander with any v2 releases. New data cards will be supported into the future with releases on both platforms.
- Hosted Field Commander is easy to set up, and is available
at no cost for all existing and new Junxion Box cellular
routers
